Barista & Bookseller
People will come here for coffee on the way to work, to find something to read, to pick up a gift, to meet a friend, or to sit for a while. We’re looking for Barista & Booksellers who can help make all of those visits feel cared for.
This is deliberately a hybrid job. Everyone who works on the floor will learn the coffee bar, register, books, gifts, displays, and the basic rhythms of running the shop. We’ve built the idea of this business around staff moving comfortably between those parts of Evangeline rather than dividing the shop into separate coffee and retail teams.
Coffeehouse & Operations Manager
The Coffeehouse & Operations Manager will be the primary day-to-day leader of Evangeline. You’ll work closely with the owner to turn the standards and personality of the shop into something that happens consistently.
This is a hands-on floor role. On any given day, you might open the shop and dial in the espresso, coach a newer barista through a busy morning, help someone find a book for their mother, receive a pastry delivery, rearrange a display, solve a customer problem, or get the room ready for an evening event.
